Mrs. Norma Elaine Walter, age 81, of Lewiston, died Monday, August 25, 2008 at Knaffles Adult Foster Care Home in Gaylord. Mrs. Walter was born in Joliet, Illinois on December 18, 1926. She and her family moved to Lewiston from Pontiac in 1945. In 1946 the former Norma Talley married Horst Walter in Toledo, Ohio. The Walters owned Twin Lake Marina in Lewiston for over 30 years. The business was sold in 1995. Mrs. Walter enjoyed painting, sewing, knitting, and she loved to bake. Esther A. Crawley, age 92 of Gaylord, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008, at McReynolds Hall. She was born in Minnesota on January 13, 1916, the daughter of Isadore and Eva (Stoltz) Ries. She had lived in Gaylord since 1966. She was a member of the St. Mary Cathedral, and Altar Rosary Society, and was active with RSVP. She retired having worked as a licensed practical nurse for the state home. Esther was a care giver all her life. Mrs. Mildred C. (Gollinger) Saint Martin Plodzik, age 79 of Lewiston, died Sunday, August 17, 2008 at her home. Mrs. Plodzik was born January 4, 1929. She has lived in Lewiston and was formerly from Centerline and St. Clair Shores. She had been spending the winter months in Alabama. Mildred was the owner of East Twin Bait Shop in Lewiston for 25 + years. She is survived by her son, Joseph L. Cynthia Ann Casady, age 55 of Atlanta, died on Friday, August 15, 2008 at her home. Cynthia was born and raised in Taylor, the daughter of Marvin and Josephine (Kolakowski) Geikowski. She graduated from JFK high school in Taylor in 1971. She moved to Lewiston in 1989. She had worked at Otsego Memorial Hospital for over 5 years and had previously worked at Henry Ford Hospital. She enjoyed camping, gardening, and the outdoors.
